This project was created as a five scenes render that comes together to tell a story. This story is about things that doesn't Look Like what it seems.
For the eagle, I decided to model it similar to the american eagle. Initially, the model was adjusted to a size that is too small and the baking process and paint room was very glitchy. I had to restart the model, use the transform tool in sculpt to make the model bigger according to the grid, re-retopo / mark seams and repaint the eagle. Most of the eagle sculpt was made from free form shapes and the feathers were made using the muscle tool.
Most of the scene was set in an open ocean so I added a dispatcher over the plane to create that kind of rolling waves and apply a dark navy semi-translucent color that mimics deep areas of the sea. The rain was created using a Transparent Sphere and an emitter to create a falling animation of the rain and pause it for still render.
The scenes also use a lot of physical skies features such as fog and the cloud tool to create a dark and gloomy atmosphere. Adding a light with volumentic can also help with that kind of misty look.
The splash was created using a cylinder carved to the shape of the water splash and using the taper tool to make the slope of the splash, then I used the metaball tag with the type line: to create that blob shape of a water splash. The water ripple was created using a disc and a formula that I found on a tutorial.
The most confusing thing is the lightning in the background on scene 2. I made it using the material with nothing else but luminance and alpha. I use the gradient in luminance to create thin lines and adjust the frequency, turbulence and seed to create the shape of the electricity. Then i copy everything and paste it in alpha to make the black part of the gradient transparent
