The main concentration of this piece is mainly focused around the theme of Husky Pride. This collection celebrates the pride of becoming a husky and explores the places, the landmarks and the things that represent UConn and its communities. It’s an acknowledgement of all the captivating sights here at Storrs, Connecticut. The objects used in the collages are from the photos taken at some of the places that I visited everyday ( bookstore, my dorm room, Dove Tower ). The collection wouldn’t be complete without the statue of Jonathan near Gampel, taken at different angles and different times of the day. The photos show that some of UConn landmarks can be appreciated at anytime of the day, even with different lighting conditions. The collages itself is designed to look like a magazine cover, an advertisement and a catalog cover. All of these are designed to promote and show pride in attending UConn. I started this collection to show how proud I am to become part of this family and how glad I can call myself a husky. This concentration is a celebration and admiration of the cultures and sights that is offered here at the University Of Connecticut.
